Description:
The RCBO is a Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent Protection, combining the functionality of an MCB and RCD into a single device. Their primary use is to ensure both earth leakage protection and overload protection in single circuits without possible loss of power supply to necessary circuits due to protection via a single main earth leakage device, such as a single RCD.
Conductive Ceiling Insulation Industry Requirements:On Tuesday 9th of March 2010, the Minister for Industrial Relations, The honourable Cameron Dick made a ministerial notice under the Electrical Safety Act 2002, that requires additional precautions when installing electrically conductive ceiling insulation.
If a safety audit confirms that the electrical installation is safe, electically conductive insulation may be installed after a safety switch is installed on each final sub-circuit and sub-mains located in the ceiling space where such installation is possible.
